The documentary was awarded the Kodak/IDA Project Access Grant, which provided all 16-mm film used in the production.

Mystic Voices was produced under the fiscal sponsorship programs of the International Documentary Association (IDA) and the Boston Film & Video Foundation. As a matter of policy, the documentary has been and continues to be distributed on a non-commercial, not-for-profit basis.

Funding for the documentary has come primarily from individuals, through fiscal sponsorship programs and otherwise. As a matter of principle, we have not sought and will not seek funding from the subjects of the documentary, including organizations that represent Native American or Colonial descendants. We believe that to seek or accept such funding might suggest compromise of our objective to present as unbiased a view as possible.
